Latin America Day 1 (February 14/15)

Class began with Quiz #6.

Here are the announcements:
1) Test Corrections: See me for you test and instructions on how to do these corrections.  You can earn back 1/2 points.  Unit 1 Test Corrections are due by Unit 2's test.
2) Name Test:  We will take it on Day 3 (Feb 22/23).
3) CE and Theme Projects: You should know your assigned country and be working on it.

We watched Guns, Germs and Steel in class and filled out notes on the movie.

*Homework:
-Read your Natural Disaster Article and answer the bolded questions at the end of the article.  This must be done by next class because you need to share the information with your country.
-Answer the essay question on the back of your Guns, Germs and Steel note sheet (due the day of Unit 2 test).

*Hint: Our next quiz will be about your Natural Disaster article.  One of your bonus questions will ask about about a current event in Honduras.  The answer is: 272.  (This is to reward you for checking the blog regularly!)
