March 12th

Journal Entry: What is "standard of living"?  What is the "human development index"?

Major Announcements:

--Next class: Europe and Russia Test, Class Notes Packet Due
--March 22nd End of the Term
--Can make up Latin America and Europe and Russia Map Tests up until March 22nd
--Last day to turn in late work, test corrections, projects for Latin America is March 14th
--If you have lower than a B- then come see me by March 15th about your grade and you'll get extra credit

Another Extra Credit Movie Opportunity:  
  • The movie: Children of Heaven
  • Description of movie: It is a "foreign film" not made in the U.S. and tells the story of children in Tehran Iran.  The film is "PG" and is about 1 hr. and 30 minutes long
  • Where: Mr. Stevenson's classroom (U-14)
  • When: Thursday, March 14th at 2:30 pm
  • What do I do to get the extra credit?  Attend the movie for the entire time and fill out the note sheet I provide in class on Thursday
  • Parent Permission Form: You will need to turn in a parent permission form to watch the video (only to prove that your parents know where you are and that they are okay with you watching a PG movie).  Click here for an electronic copy of the permission form.
And now to normal business:

You received our Europe and Russia Class Notes/Study Guide in class today (due next time!).  

We turned in our Day in a Life Projects.  

We completed our Culture Day Notes (see me on how to make up these notes). 

Homework:

-Study for Europe and Russia test next time!
