Our committees ran class again for the first 20 minutes.  3rd Period's Teaching committee gave a great lesson on Balkanization--here is their Balkan Conflict PPT (I would use it for review!)

We turned in our Current Event Projects.

We reflected on our communist committees, reviewed our homework and then watched ESPN's 30 for 30: Once Brothers video that demonstrates the conflict that went on in Yugoslavia after communism fell.  If you were absent, print out the Balkanization Notes and answer the committee reflection questions.  To answer the second page of notes, you can watch the movie on Netflix or you can come in after school for 30 minutes to watch the video and get the notes.

Major Announcements:
--EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY:  Go see the movie D-Day in the commons on Thursday, March 7th at 7 PM.   This is a fundraising activity for the MUN club so please prepare to donate $3 at the door if possible.  Make sure you find me at the event to get your very short assignment while you watch the video for the extra credit. 

Homework:
-Study for your Europe and Map Test next class!
-Read pgs. 328-329 in your textbook and answer the questions on the paper The European Union and A New Eastern Europe Notes.
