Day 5 (January 27/30)

We began class with the following journal entry:

Turn to page RA38 in your book and answer the following questions:
1. What is the latitude and longitude of Wellington, New Zealand?
2. What city is found at 22° S, 176° W?
3. What is the latitude and longitude of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea? 

     Students worked to finish their Landform study sheet.  We then quickly reviewed landforms with a Landform PPT.  (If you did not finish the Landforms study sheet then you will need to finish this at home. Due the day of the test.)

     

      We then watched the following movie clip on Plate Tectonics and filled out our Forces of Change study sheet.

      Our Planet Earth groups met and began sharing Section 1 with each other.  We will finish Planet Earth on Day 6. 

     

     Homework:

     1. Read pages 100-104 and do the guided notes sheet

     2. Island Project Parts 1&2 must be completed by Day 6.  Bring your Island Project on Day 6.
