We began class with Quiz #2.
Students wrote a reflection on the US Govt. Activity and Disclosure Debate. We discussed the following major ideas: checks and balances, impeachment, efficiency, interpretation of amendments and the roles of the President/Senate/House of Representatives/Supreme Court.
You must print off your period's Amendments and then present your Amendments and Disclosure Document to your parents. Your Parent Permission Form with Amendments stapled to it will be due next class (Day 5). Click here for 2nd Period's Amendments. Click here for 3rd Period's Amendments. You can also find the Amendments under the "General Classroom Info/Forms" tab to the right.
We began working on our Landform study sheet. We will finish this study sheet in class on Day 5.
We introduced the Island Project (if you were absent come get a large piece of paper for your project). You must complete the first two sections on the Island Project for Day 5.
Finally, we split into groups of 3 and divided the reading/study sheet for Planet Earth. Students must complete their individual section on the Planet Earth Assignment by Day 5. You will be teaching the other members of your group about your section, so you must have your section completed by next class.
Your Homework for Tonight:
-Parent Permission Form with Amendments stapled to it. Due Day 5.
-Your Section of Planet Earth Assignment. Due Day 5.
-Begin Island Project. Parts 1 and 2 due Day 5 (although you don't have to have your island colored by Day 5)
