Journal Entry:  Using a map of South America, find the latitude and longitude for:

•  Manaus, Brazil
• Santiago, Chile
• Georgetown, Guyana

Current Event:

1st and 3rd Period: Teachers Strike

5th Period: Flashback to 9/11

I collected the first Journal Entry Log. 

We first discussed the Economics Packet and then turned the packet in.  If you missed the discussion, you need to remember that Capitalism=Competition, Socialism=Sharing and Communism=Control.

We then learned about Population using this Population PPT and World Population Note Sheet.  (There is a backside to the Population Note Sheet that I can't upload here so please see me in class for this. 

Homework:

-Complete Part 5 of your Island Project.

***Our first Unit Test will be on Sept. 14/17!!
