Journal Entry: What is the difference between autocracy, oligarchy, and democracy? If you were a citizen in a country, which type of government would you prefer?

1st and 3rd Period: 5 Things Learned from the Democratic National Convention
6th Period: The last three minutes of President Obama's Convention Speech



We worked in stations today to learn the basic concepts of an "economy."  We worked on our Economics Packet.  If you were absent, please print the Economics Packet and complete the assignment at home (all instructions are included in the packet).

Homework:
1. Complete Part 4 of your Island Project on the back of your Island.  (Hint: use your Economics Packet to help you with this!  You need to brainstorm what natural resources could be on your island and which ones could be lacking based on how you drew your island.)
2. Prepare your Journal Entry Log to turn in.  Use the blog posts to complete any boxes you missed. 
3. Finish your Economics Packets.  You will turn in your packet next class.
