Day 7 (February 2/3)

We began class with Quiz #4 on Population and Migration (pages 75-81 in the textbook).

We then briefly discussed the Island Project:
-Island Projects will be due on Day 8/9 (the same day that all of your assignments are due)
-You should be done with Parts 1-4
-Look at the previous blog post titled "An Update on the Island Project" for more explanation on parts 3 & 4

I collected Island Projects to look over them and give some short feedback.  For 3rd Period, I was able to turn return some of these Island Projects by the end of class period.  If you did not get your Island Project back, then you can come and pick them up from me before school, during lunch or after school on Friday.  I will hand the Island Projects back on Monday that were not picked up.

We finished our discussion of economics by discussing capitalism, socialism and communism.

Mr. Stevenson then taught an excellent lesson on the Stages of Population.  Students took notes on the World Population & Stages in the World's Growth Assignment Sheet.  Mr. Stevenson's lecture covered questions 1, 2 and 4 on the paper.  You will need to use CIA Factbook to complete question 3.
